Sacred Musings for the Soulful Journey

Gentle astrology, sacred self-care, soulful reflections,
and moon-guided wisdom to nourish your spirit.

Welcome to my Sacred Writings

There is a special kind of magic in putting pen to paper,
or fingertips to keyboard, and letting the soul flow free. Writing has always been my sanctuary, my safe space, and my joy.

If I am honest, I would much rather be curled up with my laptop, weaving words, than speaking live on Facebook or recording videos. Writing feels like coming home.

With Mercuria in Leo sitting brightly in my first house,
expressing myself through the written word feels as natural and effortless as breathing. It is a blessing I cherish deeply, and it made creating this blog feel like the most natural next step on my journey.

At first, I imagined this space would focus purely on astrology and the lunar rhythms I hold so close to my heart. But as I have grown, so too has the work I offer to the world. I have become not only a Star Priestess Astrologer but also a Sacred Self-Care Warrioress, and I am of course an Award-winning Spiritual Life Purpose Coach.

And so, this blog has become a rich, sacred tapestry, a blend of astrology, lunar wisdom, sacred self-care, soulful Coaching, musings, and gentle guidance for your own journey home to yourself.

It will be eclectic, heartfelt, and hopefully helpful, a living, breathing extension of the path I walk and the light I am honoured to share.

I hope you will come along for the ride and find something here that nourishes your spirit, inspires your growth, and reminds you of the deep sacredness that already lives within you.

With love and blessings,

Beth

Mars v Plutonia a battle of wills

Mars and Plutonia - A Battle of Wills

January 02, 20257 min read

I hope our wisdom will grow with our power, and teach us, that the less we use our power the greater it will be.” – Thomas Jefferson

Introduction: Almost a once in a lifetime event

Blessings beautiful souls, on Friday 3 January 2025, Mars retrograde Leo at 1 degree and Plutonia in Aquarius at 1 degree will be opposite each other.  This aspect has never been seen before in our lifetime and will only be seen once more, at the end of April 2025.

The celestial energies are offering us a profound opportunity for transformation and growth. The alignment of Mars retrograde in Leo opposing Plutonia in Aquarius is more than an astrological event; it is an invitation to align with your deepest truths, confront inner shadows, and step into a more authentic and empowered version of yourself. Let us explore the sacred dance of these planets and how their energies can guide you on your spiritual journey.

Mars v Plutonia

1. Understanding Mars and Plutonia

Mars is the warrioress.  She is the planet of action and desire.  She fuels your passions and drives you to take bold steps forward. She also represents your physical body.  In Leo, her energy becomes radiant, creative, and heart-centred, encouraging you to shine your light authentically. However, with Mars in retrograde, you are called to pause, reflect, and reassess how you channel your energy and express your desires and your creativity.

Plutonia, the planet of transformation and rebirth, guides you into the depths of your soul’s evolution. In Aquarius, Plutonia focuses on collective growth, innovation, and liberation from outdated paradigms, as well as technology, truth, and social media. She is asking you to look and see the truth, what has been hidden.  Together, these planets in opposition create a dynamic tension, a powerful stand-off.  They are both in fixed signs which means that neither are budging.  They are both steadfast where they are.

If you have any planets in the early degrees of any of the fixed signs, so Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, you will feel this energy the most.

2. So what does this mean?

Currently these two planets are in what feels like arm wrestle.  This opposition is incredibly intense.  Mars in Leo is much more focused on the self and will fight for what she wants whereas Plutonia in Aquarius will fight for the collective and the need for evolution and transformation.  Which one will win?  Well, despite what Mars thinks, Plutonia is the strongest of the two so she will defeat Mars in this battle.  Transformation will happen, whether Mars wants it or not.  Whether you want it or not.  Resisting and fighting it is pointless.

There is a lot of will, a lot of force, no compromising, and no backing down.  You can almost feel the rage and the heat.  This energy can feel disruptive and destructive.  It is unlikely to get resolved quickly, due to Mars moving slowly.  Fears can be triggered, which in turn can affect powerplays.

Change is part of transformation but when it is taking place with two fixed signs opposing each other, you know that trouble is in the air.  Neither is going to embrace it willingly.  There will be no quick resolutions.  Think of the ends of two magnets pushing against each other, forcing each other apart.  Neither wants to compromise or concede.

Mars in Leo feels like she has to remain in her sovereignty.  She has to be allowed to shine her light, and doesn’t want that taken away from her.

Plutonia in Aquarius is the stronger and she will, in the end, take this away.  She is destructive, such is the will of transformation.  Think of the Death card in Tarot.  Although often feared, the death card usually signifies transformation, sudden change, or upheaval.  It can be difficult or traumatic, but it will bring a new lease of life and new beginnings.  It is usually worth it and positive, telling you to release your old path and embrace the new.

3. Journaling

Here are some journal prompts to help you work through this transformational energy:

  • What truths have I been avoiding, and how can I gently bring them into the light?

  • In what areas of my life do I feel a power struggle, and how can I transform it into an opportunity for growth?

  • How can I reconcile my personal desires with a greater collective vision?

  • What creative gifts or passions am I being called to revisit and reignite?

  • How can I embrace change as a catalyst for my personal and spiritual evolution?

  • What limiting beliefs or habits am I ready to release to step into my power fully?

  • How can I support others while staying true to my boundaries and authenticity?

4. Rituals

Creating simple rituals is a lovely way to work with this powerful energy.  Here are a few suggestions that may resonate with you or you may come up with your own ideas.

  • Rituals of Release: Under the influence of Plutonia, let go of what no longer serves you through a releasing ritual. Write down what you are ready to release and burn the paper as an act of transformation.

  • Heart-Centred Visualisation: Sit quietly and place your hands over your heart. Breathe deeply, imagining a golden light radiating from your heart space. Visualise this light expanding, merging with the collective energy of the universe, and returning to you renewed and empowered.

  • Creative Flow Session: Dedicate time to a creative activity that feels joyful—painting, journaling, dancing, or crafting. Let this be an intuitive process to channel any tension or inspiration.

  • Burning Bowl Ceremony: Write down fears, habits, or beliefs you are ready to release on small pieces of paper. In a safe space, burn them as you say: “I release what no longer serves me. I am free to embrace my highest path.”

  • Shared Intentions: Gather with trusted friends or loved ones for a circle. Share your intentions for transformation and growth. Light a candle together to symbolise collective empowerment.

5. Affirmations

Affirmations are always powerful and useful. Here are some that may resonate with you at this time.

"I welcome transformation with grace, trusting that it leads me to greater alignment and authenticity".

"I release resistance and flow with the changes that are meant for my highest good".

"My personal power radiates with love and uplifts both myself and the collective".

"I embrace my unique creativity and let it shine as a gift to the world".

"I find strength in vulnerability and wisdom in reflection".

"I honour the balance between my individuality and my connection to the greater whole".

"Transformation is my ally, and I walk boldly into the future with an open heart".

6. The Gift of Transformation

This Mars-Plutonia opposition is a profound teacher, offering you the chance to grow, evolve, and align more deeply with your life’s purpose. As you navigate this cosmic energy, remember that transformation begins within. By reflecting, realigning, and stepping into your power with love and authenticity, you create ripples of positive change in your life and the world around you.
